Hi, I'm Jim. Welcome to my blog all about Anson St George Cricket Club. We’re a friendly, sociable and inclusive cricket club. We play Sunday friendly cricket with our home games in Hornchurch. We’re a mixture of ages, weights, spectacle prescriptions, and shoe sizes, but of consistent abilities towards medium, weaker, and none at all end of the spectrum. We play to win, but not win at all costs. Everyone gets a chance to bat or bowl and there are no selection politics. We are the antidote to big club and league cricket.
Anson St George has been a big part of my life and I hope to share the stories and history of the club and the people who have been and continue to be part of it.
